About Me
I recently joined the University of Leeds as a Teaching Fellow in philosophy. Prior to this, I served as a Teaching Associate at the University of Cambridge, where I taught courses in aesthetics, ethics, continental philosophy, and political philosophy. In 2023, I completed my AHRC-funded doctoral research at King's College London. My dissertation revived the philosophical contributions of the 19th-century Russian thinker V.G. Belinsky, reconstructing his ethical and aesthetic framework through the interpretive lenses of Kantian and Hegelian thought, alongside contemporary philosophical parallels. During my (very long!) time at Kings, I also served as the administrator for the Centre for Philosophy of Art and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant.
My research centres on historical and contemporary perspectives in aesthetics, moral philosophy, and political philosophy. My research expertise also include Russian philosophy, which has been a bit of an unusual obsession for many years now, and I have particular specialisms in the nineteenth century and the history of Russian aesthetics. It was inspired and informed by a general love of Russian art, literature, and music.
In my free time, I can probably be found at an art gallery, cinema, or over-priced East London coffee shop.
